Viewers Choice to carry ECW PPVs

By GREG OLIVER -- SLAM! Wrestling
Canadian ECW fans, your wait is over.

Not only will the show be available on cable's The Nashville Network across the country, but now Viewer's Choice Canada has agreed to pick up the ECW pay-per-views.

"The deal's done," said Viewer's Choice Brand Director Bill Custers, adding that the first PPV will be September 19th's Anarchy Rulz.

Custers admitted that the TNN deal will certainly help PPV sales, but that "we'd been discussing it for a while, before the TNN deal."

The plan is to carry six events a year live.

Wrestling is "one of the strongest genres of programming we carry," said Custers. And ECW is a "great addition to our service."
