Dawson picks up where he left off
Clifton Dawson |
This past weekend was a slower day for Canadians in the NCAA, except for star Harvard running back Clifton Dawson (Toronto, ON). In the Crimson's first game this season, Dawson carried 37 times for 153 yards and a touchdown in a win over Holy Cross.
Jon Cornish (BC) scored one touchdown but only had 31 yards rushing in Kansas' 34-14 victory over Louisiana Tech.
Eastern Michigan's Eric Deslaurier (Quebec) struggled, as did his entire team against Michigan, hauling in only four catches for 32 yards in a 55-0 loss to the Wolverines.
Central Florida defensive tackle, Keith Shologan (Alberta) recorded six total tackles in a 31-14 loss to South Florida.
In Division II, Saginaw's Matt Black had two tackles in their 42-3 victory over Findlay.
