Guillaume Morisset has enjoyed his best career start to a World Cup season this winter and heads to the Olympics with the confidence that he can win the gold medal in the men's halfpipe. This season, he has won a silver and bronze on the World Cup circuit to stand fifth overall one month before the start of the Games.

"I started to do some old tricks that I use to do about three years ago which are pretty original and not done very often in competition," said Morisset, the International Snowboard Federation world champion in 2000. "I like to change my routines a lot because I get tired if I do the same thing week in week out."
