When Mike Moffat hits the track with his partner Grant Albrecht at the Salt Lake City Olympics in men's luge doubles, he'll approach it as any other race.

"We'll take it as a normal World Cup race," said Moffat, who has raced with his partner the last four years. "The key is to be consistent for each run. We feel a top-three finish is achievable."

The pair were sixth at the world championships last year one of Canada's best ever international results in the sport. They also posted three top-10's on the World Cup circuit. The previous season they won three medals, including a gold on the junior world Cup circuit.

Moffat, whose older brother Chris races in men's doubles with Eric Pothier, started luging at eight-years-old.

"I was really impressed by the speed," he said. "It was something very different."
