  Geraldine Heaney is the only Canadian team member to play on all seven world championship gold medal winning teams. She was also on the1998 Olympic squad that was runner-up to the U.S. She was named the top defenceman at both the 1992 and 1994 worlds and has played for Canada in 102 international games.

  Back in 1990, Heaney received her Canadian citizenship requirements just two days before the start of the first ever women's world hockey championships held in Ottawa.

Feb. 21: Canada won gold medal with a 3-2 decision over the U.S. finishing with 5-0 record, while outscoring opponents 35-5.
Feb. 19: Canada def. Finland 7-3 in semifinal play, advancing to Thursday's final against the U.S.
Feb. 16: Canada def. Sweden 11-0, raising record to 3-0 in Group A of preliminary round.
Feb. 13: Canada defeated Russia 7-0, raising record to 2-0 in Group A of preliminary round.
Feb. 11: Canada opened preliminary round with a 7-0 win over Kazakhstan.
