Flyweight (51-kg): Andrew Kooner, Tecumseh, Ont., def. Nacer Keddam, Algeria, 18-11, in opening-round bout, advanced to next round.
Light middleweight (71-kg): Scott MacIntosh, Sydney, N.S., def. Sakio Bika Mbah, Cameroon, 8-3, in opening-round bout, advanced to next round.

Slalom
