Kristy Odamura plays second base and attends the University of Hawaii-Hilo
where she majors in biology and minors in chemistry. Her long-term career
goals are to work in sports medicine and physiotherapy. For now, she is
preparing to realize her dream of competing in the Olympics.
She is one of the few on the team that didn't compete for Canada at the 1999 Pan Am
Games, although she is a four-time Academic All-American, three-time top
female athlete, and a first team All-Star in her Pac-West conference. A
national team member for three years, she played for Canada at the 1998
World Championships, and will be relied upon in Sydney for her strong
